Javonté Anyabwelé is the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing for IT, Corporate Indirect, Ports & Onboard Revenue at Carnival Corporation & plc. With responsibility for $5 billion in spend, Javonté plays a key role in the company's strategic initiative to leverage its industry-leading scale, working closely with colleagues across all 9 brands in the development and execution of sourcing strategies for the procurement of this spend. With his free time, Javonté has co-founded a web3 company, Pega Visao Salvador Club, a culture-defining Web3 company that focuses on telling the most compelling stories of The African Diaspora through NFT technology.

Prior to joining Carnival, Javonté was most recently the Group Director for Procurement 50 at World 50. Prior to World 50, Javonté was the Director of Productivity and Business Development at Bausch Health, where he sat on the Asia Pacific Leadership Team of Bausch + Lomb. He was responsible for finding new opportunities for growth, controlling cost, and increasing profitability of products while not impacting the value add for customers. Prior to joining Bausch + Lomb, Javonté worked in International Project Management for Office Depot in their European Headquarters based in Venlo, The Netherlands.

Javonte is Chairman of the Board of Directors for Lighthouse Academies (a national network of charter schools) and serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Penumbra Theatre. Javonte is also on the Advisory Board of Earl G Graves School of Business’ Hospitality Management Program at Morgan State University. In 2018, Javonte was named in The Network Journal’s 40 Under 40 Distinguished Class as well as Legacy Magazine Miami’s 50 Most Powerful & Influential Black Business Leaders.

Hailing from North Minneapolis, MN, Javonté Anyabwelé has always felt the responsibility to uplift and empower his people. Javonté often speaks publicly at high schools and colleges to empower the next generation of minority talent within the United States. Javonté is also an internationally renowned spoken word artist, having performed in over 25 countries and on five continents. Javonté is a VERY PROUD two-time graduate of Florida A&M University, from which he obtained his B.S. in Business Administration and MBA in Finance. Javonté currently resides in Miramar with his wife Talitha Anyabwele, daughter Amina (11), and son Amiri (8).
