Vanessa Calás is a marketing strategist and community builder with ten years’ experience in the Florida tech startup scene doing everything from marketing, social media growth, SEO, public relations, crisis management, and more. Her career has spanned various industries, from the music tech industry to investment banking to most recently, crypto and web3.

As a south Florida native, she has always had a lifelong love for the ocean and a strong conviction for preserving and protecting it. She serves as director of sustainability for Piper’s Angels Foundation and the Crossing For Cystic Fibrosis, an annual 80-mile epic paddle challenge from Bimini, Bahamas, to Lake Worth, Fla. Most recently, Vanessa co-founded Oceans DAO, an investment DAO formed to create change for good for the oceans by empowering people and organizations to make meaningful and impactful investments in order to affect positive, regenerative change for the ocean.

Vanessa loves connecting with people and supporting the causes that matter to her. She speaks four languages and lives in West Palm Beach with her partner and their retired racing greyhound, Nala.
